This website was made entirely by myself using WordPress, Self-Hosted in a Docker container on my home NAS (Network Attached Storage) server.
It contains everything pertaining to my professional life, including useful links, my CV and a little bit about myself.

Who am I?
Hi there! I’m Kyle, I was born at Fairfield Hospital on the 12th of March 2001 which happened to be a Monday.
My first experience with technology was at Primary School- we still had Windows 98 on our PC’s even though Windows 7 had been out for a few years. A couple years on, my dad would buy me a windows 7 Notebook; it had 2GB of RAM and an Intel Celeron Processor (cutting edge, I know). Though despite the very sluggish performance I wasn’t deterred, I loved everything about computers, it felt like an infinite canvas: people could create forums to talk about any topic, I could find pictures of anything I wanted, I could answer the most useless and pointless questions that my 8-year-old self could conjure!
12 years later, with a Computer Science degree in hand, I stepped into the world of work, where I am today! With 20 Months of experience under my belt, I’m capable, confident and conviently available!

Personal Statement
I am an impassioned Monitoring, Backup, and Infrastructure engineer with 18
Months of experience in a wide range of expertise, including in Customer
Technical Support, Enterprise software, Computer Science and ITIL processes. My
greatest strengths are my lateral thinking skills and my talent for personable but
professional teamwork. My core value is integrity, I will always strive to do the
right thing when no one is looking or saying how I feel, whilst still being
professional.
I am moving on from my current workplace to find a job that will push the
knowledge and expertise that I have learned to new levels and progress my
career. Specifically, I want to keep exploring new avenues of IT, with my passions
being Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Administration.

During my fast-paced time at this managed services provider, I achieved:
Delivered extensive experience in VMware, Monitoring, Backup, and
infrastructure auditing software.
- Achieved 3000 hours of expertise in ITIL Change, Incident, and
Problem Resolution in ServiceNow. - Created 50+ Knowledge Articles and performed extensive Article
Management which was made for native and non-native English
audiences in regards to technical work. - Produced 20+ Professional Visio Diagrams for drafting Network
Topologies and connection diagrams. - Decommissioned and re-created from template 40+ VMs as part of
Windows OS blue/green patching.

Interests and Hobbies
Photography – I’m passionate about urban photography, especially when rain or night themes are involved.
Trainspotting – I’ve always found infrastructure and the workings of large machines interesting, whether with locomotion or IT Infrastructure
Technology – Perhaps predictable, but true! In my free time, I’ve been playing around with home server docker applications, including Apache clientless remote-desktop, Nextcloud – a locally based cloud solution for file synchronising and backup and Webhosting my HTML/CSS designs with WordPress.
Accolades
LGBTQ+ Ambassador – for fellow employees, campaigning for policies, representation and advocacy. This involved chairing weekly meetings with fellow LGBTQ+ co-workers and allies to advance any concerns, ideas and improvements for LGBTQ+ people within the workplace.
